I cannot stand fundraising season. Doing a walk is actually nice though. One school had a wine magazine that they sent home (seriously). Another time I got suckered into buying chocolate I didn't want because the 5 year old girl said please.
I am a really bad mom. I hate fundraising. It brings back too many bad memories. I make a donation to the school and don't do it otherwise. I don't mind donating, but would rather the school got all of the money instead of just a portion. Personnally, I would way rather have a bake sale! At least, that way, I can look forward to cheating on my diet!
I can't stand Fundraising Season. I get hit up by all the Young Men and Young Women in our ward several times a year. I just can't do it. I can't believe Dee is expected to do this already! Sinful, in my opinion.
Around here we just have people pledge a "flat" amount, then that way you don't have to calculate or worry about anyone having to spend too much (yourself included). Usually we get a few family or friends to do $1 up to $10 and call it good :)
I hate fundraisers with a passion. Send a ten spot in an envelope and call it good. Or send nothing and call it good. I've done that a lot, and I don't think I'm headed to hell for it. It's all the other stuff that will land me there.
I was a bad mom last year and completely spaced it out (by accident of course). woops! ;)
ReplyDeleteFake an injury? Oh, wait! You're not supposed to be the one walking, eh? I'll make a pledge if you're actually going to do it!
ReplyDeleteUgh! I don't know.... I'll stay tuned to find out the answer. I refer to fall as "Fundraising season" and I hate it.

ReplyDeleteWe never have fundraisers at our school so I will consider myself lucky?
