Joe taught me a little trick right after we were married.
(Get your mind out of the gutter people!)
He showed me that the way to tell if your spaghetti noodles were done cooking was to gently throw one against the wall. (Have you heard of this method?)
If it falls off, the noodles need more time to cook.
If it sticks, the noodles are ready to drain and eat.
Handy, right?
Guess who else he taught this little technique to.
OK... that is funny. Sorry, just have to laugh! Which one of the kiddos is it?
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely HILARIOUS...way to go dad!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Evelyn!
LOL! That's hilarious.
ReplyDeletesurprisingly my mind wasn't in the gutter til you said to get it out... though usually my mind wanders when i read something like that. :-P
ReplyDeleteanyway, i never heard that trick, but i guess it makes sense. whenever you touch cooked spaghetti it's sticky, which i have never understood, so perhaps i'll try this next time just to see how the rest of the family reacts. i'm sure my Mom would LOVE to see her 24-year-old daughter throwing spaghetti onto the walls. ;-)
heh heh heh
ReplyDeleteI love checking spaghetti that way :)
ReplyDeleteThat.Is.Funny! My hubs would do that too, of course then he wouldn't help me clean up though. Punk!
ReplyDeleteThat's freaking hilarious!!! lol
ReplyDeletehahahahahahaha! That's hilarious! My roommates and I discovered that once and covered an entire wall with cooked spaghetti. I don't think we ate any of it.
ReplyDeleteYep, that pasta is done.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Joe! Now, have you told him that HE gets to clean up the mess??? I would totally make Roon do it!
ReplyDeleteThis is all kinds of funny! I've always heard that but I've never tried it before.
ReplyDeleteHey...I'm also stopping by to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Welcome to the 30's. It's not so bad. You'll see. You'll start to feel smarter and stuff! ;)
I hope you have a GREAT day!
Hello...birthday girl...don't tell me you have something better to do than blog today!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
Hummmm I've never tried that. I'll have to.
ReplyDeleteI love that it even sticks to the blinds!!
I was banned from doing that when I was a kid. We covered the ceiling with spaghetti, and my mom couldn't figure out why there was so little when we had used a whole box. Hehehe! I don't think I have done it since then. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am stopping by because Sami told me to. And truth be told, I wasn't going to come by but then I saw that you are the Wally Kessler to her Harold Green, and I couldn't resist. And boy oh boy am I glad I came by! I freakin LOVE your blog! Wish I had met you long ago. My birthday gift to you is a follow! Happy 30th. I will be joining your ranks in a few short months.
That is just hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good bday!!
Hey! I have that exact same clock. ::sigh:: we were meant for each other.
