You Can't Judge a Mom by Her Wardrobe

My wall clock tells me that it is currently 1:28 pm.

My wardrobe tends to disagree.

You see, I'm still wearing my pajamas. Purple ones with pine trees of white, grey, and varying shades of pink in case you wanted a visual.

Before you have the chance to make any assumptions about how my Monday has been going let me tell you this. Just because I'm still wearing my pajamas at 1:28 in the afternoon does not mean I am lazy.

wake up at 6:30 am
read scriptures and say prayers
wash dishes
feed kids
dress kids
clean kids
shove kids out door
drive kids to school
shove kids out door
clean house
gather laundry
begin washing mountain of laundry whilst channeling inner Reverend Mother (♪♫ Climb every mountain... ♪♫)
check bank account
take garbage out
check mail box
freelance writing work
switch laundry (♫♪ Ford every stream...)
feed baby
put baby down for nap
change bedding
pick up kindergartner
chase 3 year old out of bathroom, out of cupboards, out of laundry room, out of bathroom AGAIN
make lunch
eat lunch
feed lunch to children
clean up lunch
homework
sight words practice
more laundry (♪♫ Follow every rainbow... ♫♪)
feed baby again

Lazy? Not even close.

You may have caught on by now that I'm a mom. And as a mom sporting pajamas of whatever shade or pattern means I have been doing anything BUT watching soaps and eating bon bons.

I have simply been so busy that I have not had the time to get dressed. So neener neener Monday.

And yes I totally wore my pajamas as I dropped children off at school this morning. And seeing as how I still have them on at 1:28 pm and my kindergartner's pick up time is at 11:15 am...Well, you do the math. Maybe my first grader will be lucky enough to see me in a pair of jeans before 3 pm.

And don't worry about the kids. The kids are too young to be scarred for life by their half dressed mother.

I hope.

Maybe I ought to start adding "GET DRESSED" on to my to do list. Then it would get done like everything else I've been doing around here.

Oh! Looks like it's time to add another load to the washer.

Happy Monday ya'll!

P.S. Make sure to come back tomorrow! The Great and Random Cannwin and I are swapping blogs for the day. You don't want to miss this!

haha I am laughing because literally minutes before I read this someone unexpectedly rang on our doorbell and I went to get it before remembering that I still hadn't put on a shirt so I was just wearing the tank top that I slept in with the g's hanging out everwhere. So i RAN to my room and grabbed a shirt, re-did my ponytail and opened the door to find....... a package. haha not worth getting a shirt on! But I agree. Just because you don't get dressed doesn't mean it hasn't been a productive day!

I don't have the pajama thing going...but my hair is a wreck because it is the last thing I habve time to do. If it's not blown dry and flat ironed, I am a freak show. Freak Show Monday it is!

Love this;) And I wonder, where can I get pajamas with trees on them?

It's 2:45 hear, and I just finished showering and dressing myself - my 1st and 2nd grader will be getting off the bus shortly! So I attained my goal of getting dressed before they got home, go me ;)

My Monday has not been quite so productive as yours (but no Soaps and Bon-Bons for me either) you are AMAZING!

If anyone judged me by what I wear on any given week day...or heck, weekend...I'd be screwed.

I'm still in my pj's too. But I haven't been as productive as you. I've got a baby that only wants to eat, spit up on me and sleep on me.

I actually tried adding get dressed to my list once. It didn't work. I figure with all the stuff you are doing, you deserve to be comfortable.

You're awesome!

I just change into varying degrees of pajamas all day... and usually add a bra at some point. What we go through as mothers!!! :)

Man I hate it when that happens.

Your jammies sound cute :)
Us mamas can do pretty much it all wearing anything, we are superheros ya know!

How is that mountain of laundry... is it a hill yet? If so, want to come tackle mine??? LOL

Holy smokes, now I feel guilty for wearing my pjs all day. I don't get nearly half of what you get done. Sigh. Maybe that is a sign I should get dressed? Or work harder? Ummmmm. I think I am going to just get dressed. Then I will LOOK like I am accomplishing lots, but in reality, I can still be a slacker, right? That is how I am going to reason it, anyway. :) You are amazing.

It's 3:30. I'm still in my pajamas. My baby is up from her nap and I'm thinking that it's time to get dressed.

It's all good, right?
